60's & 70's Evening Saturday 27th April
A retro evening was held taking the assembled "guys and gals" in attire of varying tastes dating back to the era of the Beatles and Glam rock. Food of the time was served including prawn cocktail and black forest gateau. The theme was continued with a quiz on TV signature tunes dating back to the 60's and 70's. An award for the best dressed person went to Mike Pearce in denim flares and a lovely cheesecloth shirt. Even the raffle had 60's and 70's inspired prizes such as spider plants and Black Magic chocolates. In total just over £250 was raised – that is £250 7s 2d in old money!! Thanks to all who attended. Special thanks go to Simon Butterworth who provided the audio equipment for the musical entertainment." |

Parish Patronal Barbeque
at the Vicarage
The Parish BBQ on Sunday 23rd June celebrates the annual Patronal Festival of St. John the Baptist. All members of the congregation & families are invited to gather from 12.30pm onwards, in the vicarage garden, bringing rugs, chairs etc.
Offers of salads would be gratefully accepted. Please let members if the Social Committee know if you are able to bring a salad when purchasing tickets.
Sausages, burgers with other cold fare with pudding will be available.
A pay bar will be available
Tickets remain at Family-£15 Adult £5 child £3 available from members of the Social Committee
