We continue with online worship for another month and then, all being well, we will gather together in church again on Easter Sunday, albeit socially distanced. In the meantime, we have “opened up shop” for individual prayer on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-11am, so if you are free at these hours you might like to drop in or just seek solace in the churchyard, “God’s garden” as I have heard Grant Robertson describe it. We have learnt to live with constraints and appreciate blessings on our doorsteps which we never noticed before. Now we have a roadmap out of lockdown but it is more of a steep winding coastal path than a motorway – if we try to go too fast it may be perilous. And so, we must continue to practice the Christian virtues of patience, perseverance and contentment in all circumstances.
