Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is an organisation which was started in 1996 with the specific mandate of tackling debt and poverty in an evangelical way through local churches. The CAP Money Course is an integral part of CAP's vision to empower local churches to offer hope and to tackle poverty in the local community.
Here at St John's, we have a team of trained Money-Management Coaches who offer the CAP Money Course at regular intervals throughout the year. Each course runs for three weeks, and takes place one evening per week. It is open to people from all backgrounds who are need in help with balancing their budgets and better managing their finances. The course is very much interactive, informal and friendly, and uses video material where appropriate. Refreshments are provided and there is no charge apart from a friendly smile.
If anyone would like to come along, either because you feel you could benefit from a CAP Money Course, or you just want to gain a greater understanding of the course, you would be very welcome. Even better, if you could bring a friend along who might otherwise be a little reticent to come on the course by themselves. If you feel able to, perhaps you could spread the word amongst our local community.
To register for a course, call the church office on 01344 761521, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
